A meaningful Sunday with Jessica & Mike

MANILA, Philippines - The Philippines is home to countless wonders that are undisputedly world-class. Who knew that international luxury brand Louis Vuitton gets the crocodile skin for their products from Davao del Norte? Meanwhile, some of the swords used as props in Lord of the Rings and in the hit TV series Game of Thrones were imported from Pangasinan. Witness these and other world-class Pinoy products tonight on GMA 7’s Kapuso Mo, Jessica Soho (KMJS).

Almost every region in the Philippines has its own version of lechong manok or roasted chicken. Take a bite out of Tarlac’s local favorite Viktor’s Lechong Manok, Davao’s “beerinated” lechong manok and Cebu’s special lechong manok stuffed with sisig and flavored rice.

Last Saturday, 53 pairs of twins paraded in a festival held in Carcar City, Cebu. Most of the residents in Carcar have twins in their lineage. Also, get to know the kid whose video went viral after he was filmed singing at a market in Roxas City. The KMJS team likewise revisits General Santos City’s Aldrich Talonding, the singing kid invited by American TV host Ellen Degeneres to guest on her show.

Videos of people doing random acts of kindness recently circulated all over the web, including a viral video of Radio DJ Papa Jack distributing mini-cakes while stuck in traffic. KMJS similarly chats with a few of today’s most popular celebrities to learn about their hobbies.

Mike Enriquez’s Imbestigador comes next with its fearless and hard-hitting exposés. An 18-year-old male who allegedly raped his 11-year-old cousin is apparently hiding in a barangay captain’s house. Will the authorities and Imbestigador be able to capture the suspect?

Drugs and illegal gambling are reportedly rampant in Barangay Canlalay in Biñan, Laguna. Several crack houses cater to drug addicts, while gambling houses are used for “fruit games” and “video karera.” Imbestigador teams up with the local police to bust these drug and gambling dens tonight.
