Month-long Pinoy Hollywood in Casino Filipino

MANILA, Philippines - Casino Filipino (CF) brings the glitz and glamour of tinseltown to its patrons as it unveils Pinoy Hollywood this month. The month-long revelry will be launched simultaneously today in all Casino Filipino branches nationwide with various performances.

Jimmy Bondoc will perform at the Airport Casino Filipino (ACF) and Desiree del Valle will be in CF Hyatt. 

The Filipino Tenors, an all-male, five-piece classical pop singing group, will serenade customers of CF Angeles. Brod Pete and Long Mejia will entertain guests and patrons of CF Bacolod.

 Also set to perform are Andrea del Rosario (CF Davao), Jennifer Lee (CF Cebu), OPM icons  Anthony Castelo (CF Olongapo), Rannie Raymundo (CF Mactan), Richard  Merk and Jacqui Magno (Iloilo Arcade), Louie Heredia (Lancaster Arcade) and Pilita Corrales (CF Tagaytay). All shows start at 8 p.m. Entrance is free on a first-come, first-served basis.

 PAGCOR’s AVP for Entertainment Bong Quintana says that Pinoy Hollywood is Casino Filipino’s way of paying homage to the stars of the Golden Age of Philippine cinema. “We want to celebrate the legacy of great film icons of the ’50s and ’60s and relive the glory days of LVN and Sampaguita Pictures. Our performers will inject the retro style in their repertoire, particularly those that evoke the mood and style of the ’50s and ’60s era of Filipino movies,” he explained.

All Casino Filipino branches will also stage The CF Game Show. It will be highlighted by special performances of The Filipino Tenors in CF Hyatt on July 10 and Frenchie Dy in CF Pavilion on July 11.

Jamila Obispo will be at CF Olongapo on July 17, Cacai Bautista will spread the laughter at CF Angeles on July 17. Bryan Termulo will sing for the patrons of CF Mactan, July 18; and Aubrey Miles in CF Bacolod, July 20.

Other celebrities who will grace The CF Game Show are Jennifer Lee, CF Tagaytay (July 20); Louie Heredia, CF Davao (July 26); Renz Verano, Ilo-ilo Arcade (July 26); Lloyd Umali, Lancaster Arcade (July 26); and Eva Eugenio, CF Cebu (July 27).

To add more fun and excitement to the event, Miss Casino Filipino 2012 winners will be featured in a series of fashion shows nationwide. They will don the unique creations of Filipino fashion designers Ariel Agasang and Gerry Katigbak, ACF, July 6; CF Hyatt, July 11; CF Angeles, July 13; CF Tagaytay, July 19; CF Pavilion, July 24; and CF Bacolod, July 27.
