Kim Chiu tells blogger: Get your facts straight

MANILA, Philippines - While shunning interviews following the death of her mother Sunday, ABS-CBN talent Kim Chiu broke her silence over a blind item claiming that an actress has neglected her loved one.

"I don't get the point why this blog always makes up stories! Just for the sake of (its) followers. Respeto naman sana," Chiu said on her official Twitter account Tuesday.

Chiu was reacting to a post of showbiz blog Fashion Pulis which carried a "letter from a reader" claiming that an unnamed actress chose her career over the worsening condition of her loved one.

"Over the years, this actress has denied knowing the whereabouts of her loved one. In fact, this longing has been played on as a sad story on her part, perhaps, to gain sympathy, or to portray her as someone longing for love and affection," a certain Micki, calling herself "insider" said in the post.

While the blog post did not mention her name, many of its readers related it with Chiu, who also told its writers to get their facts straight.

"Get your facts straight. You don't know anything. Respeto naman po," Chiu said.

Micki also claimed that the unnamed actress' family resent her for contributing to medical expenses of her loved one only once, while she enjoys "fame and fortune."

"The truth is that her loved one had a certain illness - a fact that the actress knew all along, but never admitted. Was she so embarrassed that this will adversely affect her career?" the writer claimed.,

Upon news of the death of her mother Louella last Sunday, Chiu posted on her Twitter wishing that it were all but a dream.
