Tintin at home with MyDSL

The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - The public has become witness to the transformation of Tintin Bersola-Babao from a showbiz correspondent to a talk show host, an entrepreneur, and, most importantly, a wife and mother. Tintin could hardly ask for more.

“I know how blessed I am to have a healthy balance of a TV career, entrepreneurial life, being a wife to Julius and mom to our two precious children,” she shares.

The family enjoys a simple routine: Playing games at home, going to the mall, eating out and visiting the bookstore, hearing Mass together. Sometimes, they go out of town or out of the country.

Tintin co-hosts TV5’s Good Morning Club on TV5, gives regular talks on parenting through her webshow, parenTIN.tv, does online business, writes children’s books, hosts corporate events and puts together charity and celebrity bazaars. Tintin is determined to be around for her family as much as she can.

“I do my best to enjoy every waking moment with my family and to be there for my kids in every milestone,” says Tintin. “Kasi before you know it, your kids are big na.”

Tintin is grateful for Julius, her husband of 10 years, whom she describes as “hardworking, loving and responsible.” The former co-hosts have grown much closer as they take on the adventure of raising a family together.

When asked how they keep romance alive in their marriage, Tintin playfully talks about their own “hubby-wifey flirting” — on the Internet. They like to send sweet and thoughtful messages to each other on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram, and also through e-mail, even when they’re both in the same room.

Tintin shares that the Internet plays a big role in their lives at home and at work. Aside from the necessity of a strong and reliable Internet connection for her webshow and online business, their kids have learned to use it, too. Their eldest, Anya, eight, employs the help of Google for schoolwork. Even their youngest, son Nio, three, plays educational games on the computer, learning basic reading, animation and drawing in the internet as much as in preschool.

It’s a good thing they turned to PLDT myDSL to meet their connectivity needs. MyDSL offers a unique family-sized connection to its subscribers. As the country’s fastest and most reliable internet connection, myDSL provides the Babao family the strong connection they want and they deserve. Even while multiple gadgets are sharing the same internet connection, each one can still enjoy optimum speed of up to 10 Mbps.

“I cannot exaggerate the importance of staying connected online in both my work and my family life,” says Tintin.

“The unlimited Internet connection is vital for me to cultivate a strong online presence for work,” she adds. “It’s also a very handy tool that keeps my family connected and entertained; it allows us to document the memories we create each day.”
