MANILA, Philippines - A great passion and an endless zest for knowledge, plus pure dedication towards re-shaping a beautiful and well-toned contoured figure has led a young graduate of the University of Sto. Tomas (UST) Faculty of Medicine and Surgery, to share with people her expertise and bring about a remarkable turn-about for the country’s medical field.

Dr. Claudine Roura, a certified dermatologist and Fellow of the Philippine Dermatological Society (PDS) and the Philippine Academy of Cutaneous Surgery (PACAS), completed her extensive training and continuous updates in all aspects of dermatologic and cosmetic surgery, both here and abroad, receiving the honor of being the first and only Filipina cosmetic surgeon to practice “Vaser High-Definition Lipo-Sculpture” in the country.

Having personally trained under the expertise of Dr. John Millard of Colorado, U.S.A. and Dr. Alfredo Hoyos of Bogota, Columbia, also known as the “Father of Vaser Hi-Definition Lipo-Sculpting,” Dr. Roura is also recognized as an active member of the International Society for Dermatologic Surgery (ISDS) and the American College of Phlebology (ACP). Later on, she immersed in training-workshops given by world-renowned cosmetic and plastic surgeons, including Argentina’s Dr. Guillermo Blugerman, and the famous Dr. Pierre Fournier of France, dubbed as “Father of Liposuction Surgery.” 

Way back in July 2003, Dr. Roura had her training in the Philippines that included a cosmetic surgery preceptorship under distinguished cosmetic surgeon Dr. Raul Guanzon, fellow of the Philippine Society for Cosmetic Surgery, plus another preceptorship training program via the American Society of Dermatologic Surgery, with Dr. Sorin Eremia held at Riverside, California, on that same year.
