Pinas FM turns 2

MANILA, Philippines - Pinas FM 95.5 holds back-to-back events, titled One Plus One Equals Hap-Pinas, to celebrate its second anniversary on June 12 at the Ynares Sports Center.   

It’s a whole-day affair that culminates with a concert that boasts of an impressive line-up — Itchyworms, Shamrock, Moonstar88, Gracenote, Kenyo, Silent Sanctuary, Cueshé, Jovit Baldivino, Bugoy Drilon and Liezel Garcia.

It also marks an exciting addition to Pinas FM 95.5 as it launches its search for new artists (either solo, group or band) and for original compositions with Bagong Himig, Bagong Tinig, also to be launched with a grand talent search on June 12.

“It is called One Plus One kasi nga ‘Mas Masaya Kung May Kasama.’ The concert tickets will be good for two persons,” says Peachy Dimayuga, Pinas FM station manager who is also a DJ herself, known to her fans as Peachy, Simpleng Pinay.

“The second anniversary of Pinas FM will be more fun. This is due to our commitment to valued supporters to give them above-par entertainment and happiness on and off-air. Lots of artists will also join in the fun,” says Raymond Stone, one of Pinas FM’s popular DJs.

One of the newer DJs of Pinas FM, Nick Jagger, is very excited with the new project as well. “The search is our way of helping OPM. We thought of coming up with an event that will serve as a platform for Filipinos to display their talents. With the growing influence of foreign artists, local talents are not given the priority. That’s why Pinas FM is here, to help keep OPM alive.”
