Casino Filipino’s star-studded June events

MANILA, Philippines - Summer will soon end with the onset of the rainy season but the fun and festivities continue at Casino Filipino (CF) as it welcomes the month of June with festive performances by local artists and celebrities.

With the theme Pinoy Pampaswerte, all Casino Filipino venues will simultaneously kick off the month-long festivities on June 5.

Former Rivermaya lead vocalist Jason Fernandez will perform at the Airport Casino Filipino (ACF), Viva Hot Babe’s Jennifer Lee will be in Lancaster Arcade and power belter Bituin Escalante will be in CF Pavilion.

Area One will rock CF Hyatt while the all-male-song-and-dance group Masculados will entertain patrons and guests of CF Heritage.

Other celebrities who will stage special performances during the nationwide launch are Hajji Alejandro (CF Bacolod), Gwen Garci and JC Parker (CF Cebu), Jeffrey and Arnee Hidalgo (CF Davao), Frenchie Dy (CF Olongapo) and Ronnie Liang (CF Angeles). Entrance to the shows is free on a first-come first-served basis. All performances start at 9 p.m.

PAGCOR’s AVP for entertainment Bong Quintana said Casino Filipino continues to support Filipino artists by giving them the opportunity to showcase their talents in various CF venues. “Our entertainment shows highlight the best of the country’s OPM icons and rising stars. I am proud to say that PAGCOR and Casino Filipino have always been staunch supporters of our local artists. We are their No. 1 fan and we want to keep OPM music alive by regularly featuring them in our nationwide shows,” he added.

Apart from the simultaneous launch of the Pinoy Pampaswerte, the Casino Filipino branches nationwide will also stage The CF Game Show.

The game shows will be highlighted by special performances by Jeffrey and Arnee at CF Heritage, tomorrow, June 1. Cacai Bautista will spread fun and laughter also tomorrow at CF Tagaytay and at Airport Casino Filipino on June 8.

Nyoy Volante will serenade the patrons of CF Hyatt on June 12 while Tirso Cruz III will be at CF Olongapo on June 14. Meanwhile, Ronnie will entertain the Lancaster Arcade’s audience on June 15.

On June 19, Frenchie will be at CF Mactan while Chad Borja will be in CF Angeles. Gino Padilla will serenade audience at CF Bacolod on June 21 while Ethel Booba will bring the house down at CF Pavilion on June 26.

Other celebrities to watch out for are Kris Lawrence at CF Davao (June 28), Bituin Escalante at CF Tagaytay (June 28) and Bryan Termulo at CF Cebu (June 29).

Adding glitz and glamour to the month-long Pinoy Pampaswerte celebration are fashion shows featuring Miss Casino Filipino 2012 winners. They will walk the runway wearing the collections of fashion icons Ariel Agasang and Gerry Katigbak at Airport Casino Filipino on June 8, CF Heritage on June 13, CF Hyatt on June 14, CF Angeles on June 21, CF Pavilion on June 22 and CF Tagaytay on June 28.
