Week-long musical shows in Resorts World Manila’s Musikat Jam fest

MANILA, Philippines - Music lovers need not look far for world-class performances as Resorts World Manila (RWM) brings some of the biggest and brightest stars from here and abroad in a series of grand musical spectacles.

As part of its Epic Summer 2013 festivities, RWM thrills guests with topnotch musical acts as it celebrates the week-long Musikat Jam. RWM will showcase different music genres to wow crowds with a stellar offering of music and entertainment.

On June 1, the musical celebration begins with a trip to Broadway as RWM presents Some Enchanted Music: Broadway Hits Concert. Catch the country’s finest theater icons including Menchu Lauchengco-Yulo, Audie Gemora, Pinky Marquez, Cris Villonco, Gina Respall, Sheila Valderrama-Martinez, Bo Cerrudo, Jon Joven, Tanya Manalang and Michael Willams as they perform all-time Broadway favorites at the state-of-the-art Newport Performing Arts Theatre.

On June 4, bask in glitz and glam with an evening of pure class as RWM follows up with All That Jazz. Witness local Jazz artists Bituin Escalante, Arthur Manuntag, Lynn Sherman and Mel Villena light up the stage as they perform with the AMP Big Band and the Resorts World Manila Dancers at Taps, located inside the exclusive Genting Club.

On June 5, bring back the love for classical music as RWM bills some of the country’s lead performers to bring dramatic excerpts from the world’s greatest acts to life with Best of Opera. Witness world-class leads Noel Azcona, Adam Diegel, Arthur Espiritu, Andrew Fernando, Maria Rachelle Gerodias, Margarita Gomez-Giannelli, Cammille Lopez-Molina, Mako Nishimoto, Victoria Wefer and Magdalena Wor converge and leave audiences in awe. Together with the ABS-CBN Philharmonic Orchestra under the baton of Maestro Gerard Salonga with Viva Voce, Nonon Baang and Fame Flores, the ensemble will captivate the Newport Performing Arts Theatre with gripping notes and stunning vocal prowess.

On June 6, experience a night of soulful music as Lani Misalucha serenades audiences with her concert One More Time. Spend the night with the Asia’s Nightingale and be moved by her voice and charisma at the Newport Performing Arts Theatre.

On June 7, revel in the power and intensity of one of the country’s most influential rock artists as RWM presents Rock with Bamboo. Fans can catch Bamboo Mañalac’s mesmerizing rock act up close and personal as he steps into the Newport Performing Arts Theatre stage with opening act Draybers Band.

On June 8, the festival of musical delights will be capped off by Malaysian chart-topping singer-songwriter Eric Moo as he brings his world-class act to Manila with his Come Back to You concert series. Expect his soulful renditions of award-winning popular hits at the Newport Theatre.
