UE College of Law dean receives FAMAS award

MANILA, Philippines - University of the East (UE) College of Law dean Amado Valdez was among the honorees and awardees by the Filipino Academy of Movie Arts and Sciences, Inc. (FAMAS) during its recent 61st Annual Awards. 

Dean Valdez received the Exemplary Award for Legal Service in appreciation and cognizance of his notable achievements as an internationally recognized law practitioner and for a “remarkable body of work as member of the Philippine Bar.”  The awarding rites took place on April 21, at the AFP Theater, Camp Aguinaldo, Quezon City.

A sought-after speaker, lecturer and resource person on political and constitutional issues, Dean Valdez was a guest speaker in several local and international fora. He is a faculty member of several prestigious law schools in Metro Manila, including his alma mater UE, and a pre-Bar/pre-week reviewer in select universities for a long time now.

He is also a co-host of the ABS-CBN DZMM Teleradyo’s Magpayo Nga Kayo, an interactive talk show held every Saturday, from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.
