GRR pays tribute to mothers

MANILA, Philippines - Mother’s Day is celebrated every second Sunday of May and on GMA News TV 11’s Gandang Ricky Reyes Todo na Toh (GRR TNT), a special tribute to all mothers will be featured on May 11, 9 to 10 a.m.

Jake Vargas will guest on the show for a one-on-one interview with host-producer Ricky. Jake will reminisce the last days on earth of his beloved departed mother. 

“It was my Mom who encouraged me to join show business. At first, I was adamant. Kasi, tisoy man ako, di ako sing-taas ng ibang leading man. I became more interested to pursue an acting career, with Kuya Germs (Moreno) as my godfather when the doctors diagnosed cancer in my mother after she was hospitalized and began to weaken,” he says.

Also guesting is a very young mother who draws praises and favorable comments as she dresses, talks and acts like a real cool “groovy Mama.”
