Avida’s Tunog Natin drums up support for OPM

ILOILO CITY , Philippines   â€” To promote Original Pilipino Music (OPM), a concert titled Tunog Natin: An OPM Concert Series featuring Christian Bautista, Sitti, Chris Cayzer and Kimpoy Feliciano was held recently at the Plaza Mayor in Plazuela de Iloilo.

One of the highlights of the evening was the per- formance of Christian, as cheers turned into a wild roar when he serenaded the crowd with his passion- ate renditions of Beautiful Girl, My Heart Has a Mind of Its Own and The Way You Look at Me. Crowd pleaser Sitti, meanwhile, thanked Avida and all those who supported the concert series as she performed Maghi- hintay, Sino Mag-Aakala, Masaklap and Kahit Maputi Na Ang Buhok Ko.

Acoustic vocalist and X Factor Australia’s Top 6 male finalist Chris gave his dinstinctly soulful rendi- tion of ballads including Harana. New Zealand-based and social media sensation Kimpoy delivered a fresh rendition of Alipin and Ngiti, to the delight of his fol- lowers who are mostly teens and tweens.

There are more Tunog Natin concerts scheduled in various venues. All artists will exclusively perform Filipino music to champion OPM and increase ap- preciation for Filipino music. Event presenter Avida Land Corp. is happy about the support that Tunog Natin has been getting.

The Iloilo leg concert coincided with the grand launch of Ayala Land’s integrated mixed-use Atria Park District which includes condominiums Avida Towers Atria and Avida Storeys Atria, located in Mandurriao District.
