Music & pageantry in Aliwan Fiesta

MANILA, Philippines - Top Filipino entertainers have been invited to provide the live musical entertainment for the three-day Aliwan Fiesta starting tomorrow, April 11. 

Aegis, together with YouTube sensations Kimpoy, Jamich, Chicser, Jireh Lim and Moymoy Palaboy, will headline the Pasakalye concert at the Aliw outdoor stage tomorrow night at 8.

Zoren Legaspi co-hosts the Reyna ng Aliwan pageant on April 12 with reigning Miss Tourism International Rizzini Alexis Gomez, who was also the Aliwan Festival queen in 2010.  JM Guzman and Luke Mejares will provide special numbers.

On April 13, the awarding ceremonies following the grand parade will be opened by a special number arranged by rock guitarist Francis Reyes for Cooky Chua and The Dawn. Also guesting are Bryan Termulo, Jovit Baldivino and Andrew E, with 90.7 Love Radio’s Chris Tsuper and Kristine Dera as hosts.

Sotto Street at the CCP Complex will be closed beginning tonight. On Saturday, April 13, the southbound lane of Roxas Blvd. (from Manila Hotel at A. Bonifacio Street until Vito Cruz) will be closed to traffic from 2 to 9 p.m. for the Aliwan Fiesta parade. 

Aliwan Fiesta 2013 is a production of Manila Broadcasting Company and Star City, in cooperation with the Cultural Center of the Philippines and the Department of Tourism, along with the cities of Manila and Pasay.  Now on its 11th year, the festival is supported by Smart Communications, Tanduay, Alaska, My Juiz, Cherry Mobile, Coca Cola, 7-11, Hanabishi, Republic Chemicals, Unique Toothpaste, Pride Detergent, M. Lhuillier, Dunkin’ Donuts, Sulit.Com, Solaire, Manila Ocean Park, Columbia Digital and Islands Souvenirs.
