Veterans Bank traveling exhibit at SM City GenSan

MANILA, Philippines - With the celebration of Veterans Week in the Philippines, Philippine Veterans Bank (PVB) brings its World War II Traveling Exhibit in General Santos City until April 14. In simple ceremonies, the exhibit was formally opened by Veterans Bank VP Mike Villa-Real, PVB General Santos branch manager Norberta Magtajas and SM General Santos HR head Alexis de los Santos.

The multi-awarded and much-traveled exhibit, titled War of Our Fathers, will be on display at the second floor of the new SM City General Santos to captivate viewers with its wide array of World War II photographs, memorabilia and artifacts that pay tribute to the bravery, patriotism and determination of Filipinos — men and women — who fought and died for our country’s freedom during the war as well as for those who survived those dark years.

Since 2006, the World War II Traveling Exhibit has been on a mission to share to the public, especially to the youth, the legacy of our World War II Filipino veterans and the value of freedom which they fought for decades ago. It has been displayed in schools, museums, city and municipal halls, and malls in over 40 cities and municipalities in the country. Earlier this year, the exhibit was in Koronadal City as part of the Hinugyaw festivities, and more recently, it was on display in nearby Sarangani Province.

The traveling exhibit’s stop in General Santos City is courtesy of the Veterans Federation of the Philippines in partnership with the Municipality of Polomolok and SM City General Santos.
