Paninindigan on GMA

MANILA, Philippines - As the mid-term elections is fast approaching, the electorate is bombarded with various programs introducing this and that candidate, having them grilled by experts and representatives from different sectors. GMA News and Public Affairs chooses to deviate from the usual format with its two-part special, Paninindigan, airing today and April 7.

Hosted by Mike Enriquez, Paninindigan’s first episode this Sunday pits one candidate with another, letting them question each other’s opinions on crucial national issues confronting them as possible senators of the country. The first batch of candidates include lawyer Samson Alcantara, Bam Aquino, Greco Belgica, Sen. Chiz Escudero, Baldomero Falcone, Dick Gordon, Risa Hontiveros, lawyer Marwil Llasos, former Sen. Jun Magsaysay, retired general Ramon Montaño and Sen. Koko Pimentel.

As the candidates’ Paninindigan will be put on record, the public can hold them to their word should they be elected to the Senate.

Paninindigan airs for two consecutive Sundays, after Imbestigador. Next week’s episode will be hosted by Mel Tiangco.
