Misamis Oriental stages Hinuklog

MANILA, Philippines - The Municipality of Medina, Misamis Oriental announced the staging of the Passion of Christ play called Hinuklog at the provincial's municipal ground on March 28 and 29.

It has been 3 years since the Hinuklog was successfully staged in Medina under the administration of Hon. Pacifico Pupos, Jr.

This was made possible through the efforts of the San Isidro Parish Church led by Fr. Rufino I. Cabatingan, SSJV, the Local Government Unit (LGU) of Medina, the Medina Tourism Council and the parishioners.

Puspos noted that people became more spiritual and prayerful after watching Hinuklog. He said 3 out of 10 Medina residents confessed about understanding better the life of Jesus Christ through Hinuklog.

Over the years, the number of participants in the play increased and some parishioners who traditionally go to the island of Camiguin for the cenaculo, prefer to stay in Medina to watch the Hinuklog.

With 200 people involved in the production, Hinuklog is the major event of the town during Holy Week where people from all walks of life meet together to pray, commemorate and meditate Jesus Christ’s death.

The Hinuklog will also be presented in Pueblo de Oro in Cagayan de Oro City on March 24.
