Ai-Ai: Jed and I are fixing our problem

MANILA, Philippines - Yes, Ai-Ai de las Alas admitted to Funfare yesterday, she and her boyfriend Jed Salang are having some problem and they’re trying to fix it.

“Wala namang pagsasamang perpekto, di ba?” she said.

The LQ (Lovers’ Quarrel) became a tab headline item when Ai-Ai left for the US right after her post-Valentine concert with Korean superstar Psy last Feb. 16 at the MOA Arena, confirmed by Boy Abunda on The Buzz last Sunday but without pinpointing what the problem was.

“I went to the US to help Nikki with her papers kasi she’s turning 21,” added Ai-Ai who, unlike in her previous trips, left without Jed. Nikki is Ai-Ai’s daughter by former boyfriend Miguel Vera who is now based in California.

Ai-Ai came back the other day, confronted with the loud whisper that Jed was hurting her (physically, that is) when they fought.

“It’s not true,” said Ai-Ai. “Hindi ako sinasaktan ni Jed. Sa laki ba naman niya ay sasaktan akong napakaliit ko,” adding in jest, “ang totoo, siya ang sinasaktan ko.”

Jed admitted to some reporters whom he bumped into at ABS-CBN that he was trying to patch things up with Ai-Ai.

“He’s really trying very, very hard,” Ai-Ai confirmed, laughing.

Teased that she may be playing very, very hard-to-get, Ai-Ai laughed.

“Ganoon nga!”

What about the wedding they’re planning in December this year (after going steady for more than a year)?

Ai-Ai was mum.
