MANILA, Philippines - After a Twitter post by a radio executive from Colombia that animation giant Disney-Pixar plans to release a fourth installment to the widely successful Toy Story franchise, Filipino fans crossed their fingers hoping to see their favorite playroom characters on the big screen once again.
"Pixar confirmed the release of Toy Story 4 in 2015, featuring the voices of Tom Hanks, Tim Allen and Joan Cusack for the main characters," RCN radio's Jorge Luis Balaguera tweeted in Spanish on Tuesday.

The tweet, which was picked up by the region's mainstream media outlets, triggered comments from Toy Story fans all over the world and even trended as a popular topic in the Philippines all day on Wednesday.

Other netizens, who despite having enjoyed the original trilogy, did not think a fourth film was even a good idea, saying the last one already ended perfectly.
Toy Story 4 is not going to happen! The third one was the perfect ending already.

But those who started awaiting the next movie might be in for a disappointment, however, as US media have already reported that the news was unconfirmed and might not be even plausible.
"We do not comment on speculation or rumors," a Pixar representative reportedly told Buzzfeed recently after the company received word on a spreading rumor for Toy Story 4 production.
