Party Pilipinas presents British sound
MANILA, Philippines - Party Pilipinas R_UK? is the third from the series of episodes dedicated to Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) and GMA Pinoy televiewers worldwide. After the well-received episodes inspired by Japan (Party Pilipinas: Sa ‘Yo ‘To) and the Middle East (Party Pilipinas: From Saudi With Love), comes the music and imagery created by British global icons of different generations like The Beatles, Queen, Culture Club, Spice Girls, Boyzone and One Direction.
Fliptop sensation Abra returns to duet with Julie Anne San Jose in the opening production with over 30 Kapuso stars including Regine Velasquez-Alcasid, Ogie Alcasid, Lovi Poe, Rocco Nacino, Dennis Trillo, Glaiza de Castro, Rafael Rosell, Aljur Abrenica, Kris Bernal, Down to Mars and the Crush ng Bayan boys.
The Party Pilipinas artists come in full force as they invade the stage with British pop music in Hot-taw. Sayaw Pilipinas will dance to ’80s UK New Wave remixes together with a moving Adele Medley with Rachelle Ann Go, La Diva, Kyla and guests Panky Trinidad and Radha Cuadrado, former lead singer of the London Billboard chart-topping band, Kulay.
Along with Love, Party Pilipinas performers like Jennylyn Mercado and Jake Vargas, birthday girl Heart Evangelista will sing touching love songs requested by and dedicated to Pinoys living in London. She will also introduce her pet dogs in U Trend hosted by Elmo Magalona, Janine Gutierrez and Jolina Magdangal. As a gift to her fans, Heart will also have a special birthday performance.
Kapuso fans are in for a musical treat with the Triple Play performances from Jaya, Krizza Neri and Mark Herras; music from Queen and The Police in a Brit Rock prod; and a 10-minute concert from Mark Bautista in Live, Now!
Gloc9 will also be performing his latest song, Dapat Tama and, he also performs with Julie Ann and Elmo in a special anniversary production of Party Pilipinas original musical Elmo and Julie Anne: A Wazak Love Story.
Party Pilipinas airs Sundays at 12 noon on GMA 7.
