Whitney started off singing gospel with her renowned mother Cissy Houston, her cousin Dionne Warwick and her godmother Aretha Franklin. Soon after, she moved to modeling for major magazines. In 1983, Clive Davis was impressed with Whitney that he offered her a recording contract.
The film delves into how she transitioned into becoming one of the world’s best-selling music artists of all time and how her crossover appeal then propelled her acting career at the box-office with The Bodyguard.
