A different kind of rom-com

MANILA, Philippines - Rocco Nacino tackles another gay role. But unlike in the acclaimed Cinemalaya entry Ang Sayaw ng Dalawang Kaliwang Paa, where his character as a gay man was only implied, Rocco’s role as Sam in I Luv U, Pare Ko comes out of the closet after a

long time although he’s still hiding his romantic feelings for his bestfriend Carlo (Rodjun Cruz). He thinks he found the chance to come out when Carlo needed financial help and promised to do anything for the person who’d help him.

Arnell Ignacio, Julio Diaz, Melissa Mendez, Marissa Sanchez and Tita Swarding are included in the cast.

The gay-themed rom-com, which was directed by Neal Tan and produced by Krix Film Productions, will hit selected SM cinemas starting Feb. 6.
