Soulful serenades at Westgate Center

The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - This February, love and music are definitely in the air at Westgate Center in Alabang, Muntinlupa City, as performances by some of the country’s top music acts will serenade couples and families alike in Sessions @ Westgate show series, slated on Feb. 1, 8 and 14, at 7:30 p.m.

On Feb. 1, Nyoy Volante takes the stage to showcase well-loved acoustic numbers. Nyoy is best known for his 2006 hit Nasaan Ka Na and his stellar performances in several musical theater shows, most notably as Usnavi in In The Heights and Drew Boley in Rock of Ages.

On Feb. 8, the Paolo Santos Trio will fill the air with romantic melodies. The group is composed of Paolo Santos (vocals and guitars), Joel Guarin (bass) and Stanley Seludo (drums).

On Valentine’s Day, Feb. 14, the Bernie Pasamba String Quartet will interpret well-loved songs to delight Westgate diners. The group is composed of young, talented musicians from the former Manila Chamber Orchestra. The quartet is unique with the inclusion of two singers, a soprano and a tenor, in their list of members. They have performed with international acts such as David Benoit, Barry Manilow and Stevie Wonder and local acts such as Monique Wilson, Sharon Cuneta, and Martin Nievera.

Westgate Center is a 9.2-hectare open-air retail concept that challenges the confines of the mall setting, creating a main-street ambience conducive to relaxation and recreation. It is a premiere development project of Filinvest Alabang, Inc. in Filinvest City, Alabang.
