MANILA, Philippines - Sunday mornings are about to get more exciting and educational as GMA 7’s Born Impact makes its debut right after AHA!
“What makes us proud in showing this to you is that these are world-class wildlife videos taken by a Filipino team,†says Doc Ferds Recio, host of the GMA environmental show Born To Be Wild.
Born Impact, which premieres today, aims to extend the reach of GMA’s pioneer nature and wildlife program to a younger audience in its new weekend morning slot.
“Impact means I Make a Promise to Act. We want to take our Born To Be Wild audience to the next level. We want to prompt the viewers to act and do their share right after watching Born Impact,†says host Doc Nielsen Donato.
Over the years, Born To Be Wild has brought televiewers closer to their natural world. GMA’s multi-awarded environmental show has also been at the forefront of ecological issues since its launch in 2007. Through its all-Filipino wildlife documentary team, Born To Be Wild has filmed Philippine television’s most extensive archive of nature and wildlife footage to date.
“Mapa-dagat, kagubatan, ilog, himpapawid, lahat na yata ng wildlife ay na-tackle na natin sa Born To Be Wild. This time, we want to share tips on how to take care of them,†says Doc Nielsen.
This year, more viewers can experience breathtaking wildlife encounters in an early-morning weekend edition of Born To Be Wild called Born Impact
“The littlest thing that we do to harm the environment harms wildlife. Eventually, it will harm us as well,†says Doc Ferds.
