MANILA, Philippines - Solenn Heussaff is slated to appear in her most challenging and most daring role to date, as she portrays the role of Sophia in Peque Gallaga’s Seduction.
The French-Filipina beauty, who is signed exclusively to Regal Films, experiences a lot of firsts in her new movie outing. For one, Seduction marks Solenn’s first full-length team-up with Richard Gutierrez. Solenn and Richard have already proven their good chemistry onscreen and indeed, they do look good together.
This is also Solenn’s first “sexy†and most daring film to date, where she plays Sophia, a modern, outgoing and liberated Fil-European girl who always gets what she wants. It’s a role that Solenn has not done before, and when the script of Seduction, was being written, it was a unanimous decision that the society-beauty-turned-celebrity/actress fits the role to a T. In fact, when Solenn read the script, she fell in love with her role.
The Sophia role is Solenn’s first serious portrayal. In fact, it’s her most challenging role to date. It’s very provocative and dramatic, as a woman who is not only looking for love, but also a woman who will do anything and everything for love.
“It’s a very complex, complicated role,†says Solenn. “Sophia has been through a lot, and she’ll fight for what she believes in.â€
Solenn prepared for the role by attending extensive workshops, including a few with director Peque. This is direk Peque’s return to filmmaking, and Solenn is honored and excited to be one of the lead actors in what seems to be one of the most emotional, must-see films of the year.
Seduction also stars Sarah Lahbati. Completing the cast are Jay Manalo, Yayo Aguila and Mark Gil, with the special participation of Rodjun Cruz and introducing Jon Orlando of TV5’s Artista Academy.
