MANILA, Philippines - Shopping for gifts for Kapatid back home is now made easier, thanks to Regalo TV, a value-added service developed by SMART International Campaigns and TV5 International. Launched in time for the holiday season, Regalo TV is similar to a home shopping channel where Pinoys living in the Middle East can buy and order premium items for their loved ones in the Philippines from the comfort of their own homes.
Interested shoppers can choose from a wide array of exciting gifts available which include Jollibee Padala Packages, Samsung Gadgets, WOW Videoke, Barbie Dolls, Winx Dolls, HotWheel Toy Cars and SM Movie Tickets. They can even buy lechon for their relatives — one of the most requested gift items in the list.
To formalize the project, a contract signing between SMART and TV5’s international arm, Pilipinas Global Network Limited (PGNL), was held last Dec. 12 at the Marajo Tower in Bonifacio Global City, Taguig. SMART was represented by Global Access head Tina Mariano; International Campaigns marketing manager Tisha Quinitio; and International Campaigns marketing supervisor Christina Tagle. For PGNL, president and CEO Claro Carmelo Ramirez was joined by FVP head of operations Jeffrey Remigio, FVP head of Marketing Pie Basiao and marketing assistant Krizzia Aniñon.
“Regalo TV is designed for our OFWs living in the Middle East,” Ramirez shares. “We understand their need to bridge the distance between their loved ones this holiday season. That is why we came up with an easy and convenient way to make their families and friends here in the Philippines feel the Christmas spirit.”
Mariano adds, “We initiated this service to allow our kababayan to be part of family celebrations during special occasions like the holiday season. It’s a comfort for them to be able to give their loved ones a Christmas gift even if they are apart.”
