The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - With the recent kick-off of Paskong Pinoy 2012: A Joyous Rock in the Park, Rizal Park has become a certified crowd-attracting destination. Presented by Asia Brewery, the City of Manila, Department of Tourism and the National Parks Development Committee, the month-long holiday festival offers an exciting entertainment line-up, with an explosive New Year’s Eve concert to cap off the series of stage shows. Apart from food and gift bazaars, exhibitions and shows, friends and families can look forward to fun celebrations and end 2012 with a bang as Paskong Pinoy counts down to 2013 with a rocking New Year’s Eve concert. Tonight, Rizal Park will ring in the New Year with live musical performances.

Among the list of performers gracing the music extravaganza are True Faith, Barbie Almalbis, Kitchie Nadal, acoustic singer-songwriter Johnoy Danao, kid punk group Absolute Play, indie acts like Save Me Hollywood and Paramita and The Bloomfields. The Mocha Girls will close the show with a show-stopping performance from 12 midnight onwards.

Pumping up the concert experience are choice beverages like Colt 45, Tanduay Ice and Coors Light available throughout the celebration.
