The popular tandem of Nida Blanca and Nestor de Villa starred in what may well be called ‘dramedy’ in Magtiis Ka Darling (1963). It was a combination of hilarious comedy and heartwarming drama.
Armando de Guzman, who was associated with dramatic pictures, directed Magtiis Ka Darling based on the script by Bert R. Mendoza.
Oscar Obligacion, as always, provided the comic relief when the scenes became too serious.
Nida would later become a great drama actress, winning awards for Miguelito, Magdusa Ka and Sana Pag-ibig Na. — RKC
