The best of the 2012 Metro filmfest

MANILA, Philippines - Star Cinema’s One More Try was proclaimed Best Picture while Nora Aunor and Dingdong Dantes were hailed as the Best Actress and Best Actor, respectively, at the 38th Metro Manila Film Festival’s (MMFF) Awards Night held last Thursday night at the Meralco Theater in Ortigas, Pasig City.

Brillante “Dante” Mendoza won the Best Festival Director plum for Thy Womb. Laguna Gov. ER Ejercito’s El Presidente was awarded as the Second Best Picture, while Ai-Ai delas Alas, Vice Ganda and Kris Aquino’s Sisterakas took home the Third Best Picture award. Kris and KC Concepcion hosted the event.
