Jessica goes to Compostela Valley for Pablo aftermath

The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - Tonight on GMA 7’s Kapuso Mo, Jessica Soho (KMJS), Jessica Soho flies all the way to Compostela Valley to witness the massive destruction caused by super typhoon Pablo.

Jessica reports on the tragic fate of the Mindanaoans from the calamity with the hectares and hectares of destroyed banana plantations, flashfloods with large rocks and logs, mudslides, communities wiped out and helpless victims who lost not just their houses but their loved ones, too.

KMJS will give accounts on the possible reasons behind such tragedy, giving the viewing public a better and closer perspective on the details of the unfortunate event.

The show will also feature fun holiday destinations, mouth-watering Christmas cakes and perfect hotspots where budget-friendly presents can be found.

Lastly, with this season comes a warning about the end of the world as the Mayan Calendar states that doomsday pushes through on Dec. 21, with KMJS featuring both doomsday believers and skeptics.

Known for being an informative and interesting program, KMJS not only features stories on current trends, lifestyle, leisure and people of interest — it also tackles current issues and events affecting the country as a whole — fulfilling its responsibility to the viewers as one of the most trusted public affairs programs on Philippine TV.

KMJS has recently moved from its original Saturday schedule to a new timeslot on Sundays at 7:45 p.m. after Pepito Manaloto.

Despite its change of schedule, as it reigned over the weekend ratings game based on data from the industry’s widely recognized ratings supplier Nielsen TV Audience Measurement.

The program also commands a powerful online presence as its episodes and feature stories almost always make it to the trending topic lists.

The impact KMJS has on the viewing public reflects on the numerous awards it has garnered over the years. And 2012 proved to be just as fruitful: On Dec. 4, KMJS was recognized as one of the most well-liked TV programs in the Anak TV Seal Awards 2012. Meanwhile, host Jessica was cited as the Top Female Favorite Makabata Star.

KMJS was also cited as the Best Public Affairs Program during the recently-held PMAP Makatao Awards for Media Excellence with Jessica receiving recognition as the Best Public Affairs Host for the second time.

In addition, KMJS was given its third Best Magazine Show trophy and Jessica bagged her fourth recognition as Best Magazine Show Host in the 26th PMPC Star Awards for TV.

Jessica also topped a nationwide survey on today’s most popular and most trusted names on TV along with fellow GMA News pillars Mike Enriquez and Mel Tiangco, according to a study by AGB Nielsen.
