Zia & Jay-R are Awit winners

MANILA, Philippines - Zia Quizon is undeniably OPM’s biggest and most promising find of 2012. In the recently-concluded Awit Awards, the young singer bagged three top awards as Best New Female Recording Artist, Best Female Recording Artist and Song of the Year for her single Ako Na Lang.

Zia was introduced early this year with the release of her self-titled debut album, which includes Ako Na Lang, her covers of So Much In Love, Smile and her mother Zsa Zsa Padilla’s Mambobola, plus her original compositions Dear Lonely and Simple Girl.

Fellow STAGES talent Jay-R also brought home trophies for Best Vocal Arrangement for O Holy Night from his album Holiday of Love and Best Dance Recording for Connection.
