TV5 and Radyo Singko invade Davao

MANILA, Philippines - Davao City will shine bright this weekend as TV5’s stars attend the launch of Radyo Singko 101.9 NewsFM, which will hit the local airwaves tomorrow,  Dec. 3. The launch comes at a time when the Kapatid Network reported its momentum in six different key cities in the Philippines, including Davao.

The three-day festivities started yesterday with a  motorcade across the city featuring Kidlat lead stars Derek Ramsay, Ritz Azul and Nadine Samonte, TV5 Princess Eula Caballero and The Amazing Race Philippines’ Team Amigas Saida and Jervi. That afternoon, the stars graced a must-see show at SM City Davao for the Radyo Singko Todo Radyo Serbisyo event.

Sharon Cuneta will also treat the Davao crowd to a special concert today at the Abreeza Mall. Coinciding with Radyo Singko Davao’s first airing day tomorrow, the Radyo Singko Taxi Squad will recruit new members at the SM City Davao Event Center from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. During this time, Davaoeño cab drivers will get to sign up and be part of the station’s citizen journalism unit. Applicants who want to sign up for the taxi squad can avail of free services such as haircuts, medical check-ups and snacks. Raffy Tulfo of Radyo Singko’s Wanted sa Radyo will be there to grace the event.
