Navotas’ 1st Women Entrepreneurship Summit

MANILA, Philippines - Gladys Reyes and Francine Prieto, who recently joined Navotas’ 1st Women Entrepreneurship Summit last Nov. 10 at the Navotas Sports Complex in response to City Mayor John Reynald Tiangco’s invitation,  shared their success stories.

“Acting is not a permanent job,” said Gladys. “There are times that we have a lot of projects at a time but there also times that we have none. The idea of starting up a soap business was suggested to me by my aunt who worked in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. During that time, I already had kids with Christopher so even though we had savings, we decided to invest in this business for the future.”

One of her tips to Navoteño women, especially housewives, who have their spare time to earn extra money, is not to fear investing for a product that they are confident and passionate about.”

Francine, who has just recently made a comeback in the drama series Ina, Kapatid, Anak as the mother of Xian Lim, shared that “women should always be confident of themselves as they are beautiful and have so much potential in achieving business growth with minimal capital.”
