News Café, News.PH debut this month
MANILA, Philippines - Solar News Channel provides “news you can use†and more with the upcoming weekly program titled News Café. It is a late-night show that gives audiences a thorough view of the current news and relevant issues of the week.
News anchor and Solar News VP Jing Magsaysay will host the late-night show, moderating a panel of columnists, news writers, reporters and bloggers.
Delving deep into the socio-political, economic, cultural and historical angles of any given issue is the show’s primary focus. Journalists and a resource person will be invited to shed light on any given news topic.
The show will also have a round-up segment wherein opinions of the people in the print media and the online community will be featured.
Catch News Café Nov. 30 at 10 p.m.
Meanwhile, viewers who are looking for up-to-date political talk once a week can now find it in News.PH, which airs right after Solar News Channel’s nightly news program.
The show is hosted by Pia Hontiveros, who will address political issues through a one-on-one or panel interview with political personalities involved.
Pia, who has more than two decades of experience in journalism, will convey insightful and unbiased information, as well as a better appreciation of political facts to the public. Through the show, she will give viewers a deeper understanding of Philippine politics, its policy makers, and the policies that affect the everyday lives of the Filipino people.
