MANILA, Philippines - The 26th Philippine Movie Press Club, Inc. Star Awards for TV will be held on Nov. 18, 6 p.m. at the Ateneo, Henry Lee Irwin Theater, Katipunan Road, Quezon City.
Airtime Marketing, headed by Tess Celestino, is the producer. Director is Al Quinn. ABS-CBN will air the event on Nov. 25 in Sunday’s Best. Aga Muhlach, Toni Gonzaga and Kris Aquino will host. Erik Santos, Angeline Quinto and Karylle will open the show. Dawn Zulueta will be seen in a song number while German Moreno will be the Natatanging Alagad ng Telebisyon trophy.
Ai-Ai delas Alas will be featured in a production number while Rufa Mae Quinto does the “unity” finale with Aljur Abrenica and Mark Herras of GMA 7; John Prats and Gab Valenciano of ABS-CBN; and Rodjun Cruz of TV5 along with Bayani Agbayani, Candy Pangilinan, Minnie Aguilar and Jason Gainza.
The PMPC pays tribute to King of Comedy, Dolphy, with the posthumous award.
Who will be this year’s Best Drama Actor? Is it Coco Martin, Dingdong Dantes, Eddie Garcia, Gerald Anderson, Jericho Rosales, Piolo Pascual or Richard Gomez.
It is also a lively night for the Noranians because Nora Aunor is nominated for Best Drama Actress. Completing the list of nominees are Dawn Zulueta, Helen Gamboa, Janice De Belen, Rochelle Pangilinan, Susan Roces and Xyriel Manabat.
The Best Single Performance by an Actor nominees are Arjo Atayde, Gerald Anderson, JM de Guzman, Noni Buencamino, Phillip Salvador, Piolo Pascual and Robin Padilla. Angel Aquino, Brenna Garcia, Gina Pareño, Iza Calzado, Jane Oineza, Maricel Soriano and Sylvia Sanchez are nominated for Best Single Performance by an Actress.
Gloria Romero will receive the Ading Fernando Lifetime Achievement Award and Excellence in Broadcasting Award will be given to Tina Monzon-Palma.
