Markki and Morissette team up in Disney’s Camp Rock: The Musical

MANILA, Philippines - Skechers sponsors Repertory Philippines’ Disney’s Camp Rock: The Musical’s main cast, Morissette and Markki Stroem. In their first team-up, Morissette and Markki will play Mitchie Torres and Shane Gray, respectively, based on the hit Disney Channel original movies Camp Rock and Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam. The musical will run from Nov. 16 to Dec. 16 at Onstage, in Greenbelt 1, Makati.

At 16, Morissette already has her goals in place and her future mapped out. She left Cebu two years ago to pursue her dream in singing. She won first runner-up in Star Factor on TV5. Her role in the Disney musical will be her professional debut into theater acting.

Outside of work, Morissette is like most teen girls who just like to chill. This is when she wears comfy jeans, cool tops and Skechers. An avid Skechers fan, Morissette opts for Skechers GOrun performance shoes during dance rehearsals for Disney’s Camp Rock: The Musical as she finds it light and comfortable. After he graduated from college in Switzerland in 2009, Markki chose to go back home to the Philippines to embark on his first love — music. He recently collaborated with indie label, Cornerstone Music, for his self-produced album titled Thousands of Pieces. Aside from music, Markki is also a thespian who has done several theater plays.

Off-stage, Markki is into sports, regularly works-out and is busy meeting other commitments. His fashion sense is casual with just tees and jeans. When he hits the gym, he wears Skechers GOrun on the treadmill. Being a former tri-athlete who encountered problems with his shin, he appreciates how Skechers GOrun helps him avoid injuries with its Mid-Foot Strike Technology that enables him to run with ease.
