Wilson Phillips at MOA tonight
MANILA, Philippines - Wilson Phillips, the all-female American vocal trio composed of Carnie Wilson, Wendy Wilson and Chynna Phillips, will be performing tonight at the Mall of Asia Arena.
The group’s popular hits include Hold On, Release Me, You’re in Love, You Won’t See Me Cry, Flesh and Blood, Impulsive and Everything I Need.
Its 1990 self-titled debut album sold over 10 million copies worldwide and scored three No. 1 singles on the Billboard Hot 100, making the trio the best-selling female group at that time. In 1990, the group also won the Billboard Music Award for Hot 100 Single of the Year for Hold On, and in addition was nominated for four Grammy awards and two American Music awards.
In November 2011, the ladies released their Dedicated album, a tribute to their parents’ bands The Mamas and the Papas, and the Beach Boys. Chynna (married to actor William Baldwin) appeared in Dancing With The Stars in mid-2011. They also did a cameo in the hit movie Bridesmaids, which put Hold On back in the Top 100 at that time.
