The chronicles of Veronica

MANILA, Philippines -  Hers is probably one of the freshest faces ever to grace the Philippine broadcast industry. Even after several years of being on TV, she has maintained a sweet and appealing aura.

But Veronica Baluyut-Jimenez is also a veteran broadcaster, immersed in every story over her illustrious career. For her, every bit of detail in a story should be carefully researched, dissected and thoroughly appraised for value and truthfulness, and ultimately, it should appeal to the audience.

Her latest broadcasting coup de grace titled The Veronica Chronicles is an investigative documentary to be shown on PTV-4 every third Wednesday of the month from 8 to 9 p.m. For its pilot, The Veronica Chronicles tackled the 40th anniversary of the declaration of martial law, touted as one of the darkest episodes in the country’s political history.
