SM's Hans Sy donates for cancer-stricken kids

MANILA, Philippines -Last Sept. 20 was a memorable day for the beneficiaries of ChildHaus (CH), a charity project of the Ricky Reyes Foundation supported by friends and other NGOs.

It marked the day for wards and volunteers to move into a permanent home located at No. 90 Mapang-akit St., Quezon City donated by business tycoon Hans Sy, son of Henry Sy.

Present during the blessing-cum-ribbon cutting were Felicidad Sy (Hans’ mother); Carol Sy (Hans’ wife); Korina Sanchez who furnished the living room and kitchen areas; Wilma Galvante who brought boxes of food; Darling de Jesus who provided potable drinking water courtesy of Rotary Club of Legaspi; Bong Quintana with a P200,000 check donation from PAGCOR; Ramon Santos and his wife of Nueva Ecija with playground items; members of the Ricky Reyes Foundation with educational materials and fixtures for the amusement room; former Marikina City Mayor Marides Fernando. QC First Lady Tates Gana Bautista, Pasay City First Lady Edna Calixto, Miss Earth 2012 Stephanie Stefanowich, managers of Gandang Ricky Reyes Salons, officers of Fil-Hair Coop and finalists of Protégé were also seen gracing the event.
