TALKtv shows concern for Phl

- The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - During the recent typhoon calamities the country suffered a few months back, people all over the nation were helping each other out in the hopes of lifting the country back on its feet. Communities united and worked hand-in-hand to support those who were affected by the floods.

During that time, TALKtv launched a campaign tagged as One Small Act for the Philippines to challenge Filipinos to promote responsibility and show their love for the country. The movement ran from June 6 to July 6, a unique way of recognizing and celebrating the 114th Anniversary of Philippine Independence.

As part of the campaign, TALKtv viewers were encouraged to send in personal photos that would best capture the theme of One Small Act for the Philippines. Marissa Estocado of Antipolo, Rizal was one of the winners. “No matter how big or small the act is, it always translates to bringing change to the world,” says Estocado.

TALKtv states that One Small Act for the Philippines is just a start of many more country-driven, self-awareness campaigns they have in the pipeline. If each Filipino does his own part, the country will continue to walk in the right direction. Doing one small act is just the beginning of better things to come.

TALKtv is available on Ch. 16 on SkyCable, Ch. 28 on Destiny and Ch. 21 on Cignal.
