Francis Fest with David Benoit set for Oct. 3
MANILA, Philippines - FrancisFest, the annual fund-raising event of the Santuario de San Antonio Parish, Forbes Park, Makati City, for the charity and outreach projects of the Santuario de San Antonio Parish (SSAP) Foundation, is featuring David Benoit (photo) on Oct. 3, 8 p.m. at the Newport Performing Arts Theater of Resorts World Manila, Pasay City.
Every year, millions of pesos need to be raised through generous parishioners and friends to support those in need at the Philippine General Hospital and Rizal Medical Hospital Ministry, the educational scholarship program of SSAP Foundation, the poor and elderly among the Little Friends of St. Francis in Friendship Home, friends of St. Anthony SSAP and the Prison Ministry.
For this year’s FrancisFest, SSAP parish priest Fr. Joel Sulse, OFM and Parish Pastoral Council president Mike Limpe happily announced that Petrona Lim serves as OFS chairman.
As a contemporary jazz pianist and composer, Benoit has had an expansive career with over 25 solo recordings since 1977 and has been nominated for the Grammys five times.
Guest performer in FrancisFest with David Benoit is the Mulatto Band.
