MANILA, Philippines - The search is on for Miss Silka 2012 and Silka is scouring the country for the best beauties who embody their brand women who have that glowing Silka Skin. The search will kick off in Manila with the search for Miss Silka Metro Manila.
The candidates for Miss Silka Metro Manila come from 17 cities and municipalities including Antipolo, Caloocan, Las Piñas, Makati, Malabon, Mandaluyong, Manila, Marikina, Muntinlupa, Navotas, Parañaque, Pasay, Pasig, Quezon City, San Juan, Taytay and Valenzuela.
The grand pageant will be held tomorrow, Sept. 14, at the Sta. Lucia East Grand Mall. The pageant features all the candidates in a grand opening production number entitled Goddess. The beauties will also model different outfits competing in the swimwear, casual wear and long gowns categories to show that a woman’s best accessory is her skin by “Silka, para sa balat na nakakabilib.”
There will also be celebrity performances by Carlo Lazerna and Aki Torio, formerly of XLR8, Michael Pangilinan, Meg Imperial and Erich Gonzales. The show will be hosted by Steve Patrick and Miss Silka 2010 Imee Hart. Hart co-hosted Wiltime Bigtime in 2011 and has starred as main cast on TV5’s Bagets.
The last four finalists will also have a showdown in a live mock TV commercial wherein they will be delivering lines to showcase their skin and to convince the audience to also use any of the products in the Silka Skincare Line. Miss Silka Metro Manila will get cash and prizes and will represent Metro Manila in the grand coronation night of Miss Silka 2012 in November.
After the declaration of Miss Silka Metro Manila, the pageant continues with the search for Miss Silka Cavite, Laguna and Batangas.
