The cute kids in The King and I

MANILA, Philippines - Kristina Alexandra Rodriguez is one of the cute kids in the cast of The King and I which starts its run at the Newport Performing Arts Theater of the Resorts World Manila on Sept. 15. Kristina plays Princess Ying Yaowalak.

The all-Filipino production (far right) is headed by West End veterans Leo Tavarro Valdez as the King and Monique Wilson as Anna, with Freddie Santos as director. The other members of the cast include Bo Cerrudo (alternate for King), Shiela Valderrama (alternate for Anna), Gina Respall (Lady Thiang), Tanya Manalang (Tuptim), Lorenz Martinez (Lun Tha), and other kiddie actors James Gabriel Ketcher (as Louis Leonowens) and Anton Posadas (Prince Chulalongkorn).

Rajo Laurel designed the regal wardrobe of the King and Anna while Aksana Sidarava did the costume design for the rest of the cast.
