Dolphy's off-cam life in Patrol ng Pilipino

The Philippine Star

Manila, Philippines -  ABS-CBN news reporter Apples Jalandoni presents the life of the late Comedy King Dolphy through the eyes of his closest friends, colleagues and loved ones in a special tribute report in Patrol ng Pilipino tonight.

Get to know Mang Pidol beyond the popular characters he portrayed from the accounts of ABS-CBN president Charo Santos-Concio, who was his leading lady in the movie My Juan and Only, and from actor Gio Alvarez, who played as his son in the Kapamilya sitcom Home Along Da Riles.

The oldest living employee of the Manila Grand Opera House, meanwhile, shares how the extremely talented Dolphy was destined to make it big in the entertainment industry even when he was still a peanut and butong pakwan vendor and eventually, a stage performer.

Moreover, Apples also interviews Dolphy’s daughter-in-law, dear friend and neighbors in Tondo, Manila where he grew up and lived with his first family.

Meanwhile, Dominic Almelor investigates the alleged ghost employees at the Quezon City hall who are said to be bogus and inexistent but received salaries in 2010 for the personal gain of city officials. Recently, the Ombudsman suspended QC councilors, including Roderick Paulate, for allegedly maintaining ghost employees in the city hall’s payroll.

Patrol ng Pilipino also airs earlier on DZMM TeleRadyo (SkyCable Channel 26) at 9:15 p.m.
