Jillian and Mona happy together

The Philippine Star

Manila, Philippines -  Jillian Ward (left) and Mona Louise Rey are not sisters in real life. But after working together on GMA 7’s Luna Blanca, the two are completely inseparable and have instantly developed a tight bond of friendship on and off screen.

Their characters gave them the opportunity to discover the true value of friendship, family and the profound relationship between sisters bound by a supernatural ancestry.

Even when the cameras are not rolling, Jillian and Mona would play together and everyone could see that there is no hint of jealousy between the two lead child stars. “Masaya po ako na palagi kong nakakasama si Mona. Mami-miss ko po siya kasi mabait siya at naging magkaibigan na kami,” said Jillian. Mona, on her part, wishes that she and Jillian will be paired again, “Para pong magkapatid na kami ni Jillian, nakakatuwa po na magkasundong-magkasundo po kami. Sana magkasama po ulit kami sa susunod naming projects.”

Meanwhile, as the plot thickens this week, the characters of Jillian as Luna and Mona as Blanca continue to face big setbacks after being separated again. Life has been cruel for Luna and Rowena (Camille Prats) and they end up living in a resettlement area. Adding to their woes are the accusations of their neighbors that they are malignos so they are left with no choice but to leave their place.

Divine (Chynna Ortaleza), on the other hand, discovers that Blanca is Rowena’s daughter. Fearing that Luis will find out about Blanca’s identity, she plots a scheme to get rid of Blanca once and for all.

Luna Blanca airs weeknights after 24 Oras on GMA Telebabad.
