Manila, Philippines - The public is in for a totally different and refreshing treat as Unitel Productions presents a heartwarming musical comedy film titled I Do Bidoo Bidoo: Heto nAPO Sila.
Starring Gary Valenciano, Zsa Zsa Padilla, Sam Concepcion, Ogie Alcasid and Eugene Domingo, I Do Bidoo Bidoo features the timeless music of the Apo Hiking Society highlighted in the story of two young lovers (Sam and Tippy Dos Santos) and their relationship with their families.
The movie is directed by Chris Martinez who ventures on his first ever full-length musical film.
The “movie-oke” (simply because it is guaranteed to make the moviegoer sing along while watching the film) has always been the dream project of producer Tony Gloria. Gloria’s Unitel is responsible for hit movies Crying Ladies and La Visa Loca which are cited also for their quality and critical acclaim.
He said he knows that the Filipino audience is ready for this kind of musical extravaganza on the big screen, especially when the music comes close to their hearts just like the songs of Jim Paredes, Buboy Garrovillo and Danny Javier.
“I Do Bidoo Bidoo: Heto nAPO Sila is a movie we can be very proud of. It is by the Filipino and for the Filipino,” Gloria said.
The musical comedy will be an APO “movie-oke” celebration. “The refreshing and impressive casting combination for this new movie genre has got all of us excited and we are sure that the public will be as excited as we are,” he added.
Other cast members are Neil Coleta, Jaime Fabregas, Kiray Celis, Gerald Pesigan, Sweet Plantado and Frenchie Dy.
The Apo Hiking Society songs which will be immortalized on the big screen are Pumapatak Na Naman Ang Ulan, Doo Bidoo, Syotang Pa-class, Awit ng Barkada, Panalangin, Tuyo Nang Damdamin, Mahirap Magmahal, Salawikain, Nakapagtataka, Batang Bata, Blue Jeans, Kaibigan, Huwag Masanay Sa Pagmamahal, Ewan, Paano, Di Natuto, Pag-ibig and Kabilugan ng Buwan.
