Jessica's relatives thank Kapamilya stars

MANILA, Philippines - The mother and grandmother of Filipino-Mexican American Idol Season 11 runner-up Jessica Sanchez expressed their gratitude to the stars of ABS-CBN for the support they gave the 16-year-old powerhouse singer during her stint in the singing competition. 

Jessica’s grandmother Virgie Bugay also thanked The Buzz host Boy Abunda for asking Filipinos in the US to vote for her granddaughter and to ABS-CBN correspondent Yong Chavez for giving updates on Jessica’s bid straight from Los Angeles. ABS-CBN CEO and chairman Gabby Lopez III and president Charo Santos-Concio, meanwhile, congratulated Jessica for her impressive performance on AI stage that made every Filipino around the world proud.

They also extended their best wishes for a bright music career to Jessica who made history on the show as the first Asian-American to join the show’s finale.
