GMA 7 rolls out Lenten program schedule

MANILA, Philippines - GMA 7 presents a special Lenten programming schedule on April 5, Maundy Thursday; April 6, Good Friday; and April 7, Black Saturday.

Maundy Thursday opens with the strip of kids cartoon treats including the all-time favorite Tom and Jerry at 8 a.m.; followed by Jackie Chan Adventures at 8:30 a.m.; Mojacko, 9 a.m.; Slamdunk, 9:30 a.m.; and One Piece, 10 a.m.

Cesar Montano’s Muro Ami at 10:30 a.m., followed by Nora Aunor starrer Naglalayag at 1 p.m. It will be followed by Richard Gutierrez and Angel Locsin’s The Promise at 3 p.m. while the fourth instalment of CBN Asia’s Tanikala will air at 5 p.m. One True Love follows at 7 p.m.

At 9 p.m., be part of a one-of-a-kind treasure hunting experience and uncover stories of old with the country’s finest broadcast journalists on Philippine Treasures. Afterwards, witness how some students from far-flung areas of the country make do just to get an education in Reporter’s Notebook at 11 p.m. Cap the night off with Kara David at 11:30 p.m. as she takes a trip back to the town of Paracale in I-Witness’ Gintong Putik.

On Good Friday, kids will have another dose of their favorite cartoons from 8 a.m. to 9 a.m. Power To Unite will air at 9:30 a.m. with a special episode featuring host Elvira Yap-Go and special guest His Excellency Pablo Virgilio David (Auxiliary Bishop of the Archdiocese of San Fernando, Pampanga). It will be followed by Till I Met You starring Robin Padilla and Regine Velasquez at 10:30 a.m.

Siete Palabras airs from 12 noon to 3 p.m. The fourth instalment of Tanikala will air at 5 p.m. Afterwards, Kapuso Mo, Jessica Soho features the love of Sen. Loren Legarda for Yaya Fely and renowned filmmaker Marilou Diaz-Abaya in her battle against breast cancer. Catch one of Wish Ko Lang’s most memorable episodes, Nawawala Si Lola: The Good Samaritan Special at 6:30 p.m.

At 7 p.m., join Mike Enriquez and Dingdong Dantes in Report Card. Afterwards, join Born to be Wild’s eco-warriors in a back-to-back episode on Born Projects at 8 p.m.

On Black Saturday, watch I Will Always Love You at 10:30 a.m.; Lovestruck, 12 noon; and Ikaw Pa Rin: Bongga Ka Boy, 1:30 p.m.; You To Me Are Everything, 3 p.m.; and Tanikala, 5 p.m.

APT Productions presents Pinagpala Sa Babaeng Lahat at 5 p.m. It will be followed by Wish Ko Lang at 6 p.m.

Enteng Kabisote: Okay Ka, Fairy Ko: The Legend Goes On and One and On will air at 9 p.m. to be followed by Just For Laughs at 11 p.m.
