GMA is media partner of NYC Independence Day parade

MANILA, Philippines - GMA International (GMA Pinoy TV and GMA Life TV) is this year’s official media partner of the 114th Philippine Independence Day Parade in New York City organized by the Philippines Independence Day Council Incorporated (PIDCI) headed by current president Fe Martinez (shown in photo below with Consul General Mario de Leon and 2012 grand marshal Dr. Prospero Lim).

The event is touted as the biggest Independence Day parade outside of the Philippines, this year to be graced by Kapuso stars.

This was announced during the recent annual PIDCI grand marshal night that kicked off the June event.

Present at the affair was GMA International East Coast marketing consultant Grace Hufano Labaguis (above, center, flanked by 2009 Mrs. Philippine-USA Adora Penn and Funfare ‘beauty expert’ Felix Manuel).

Part of the June event is the selection of 2012 Diwa ng Kalayaan (candidates shown in top photo with last year’s winner).

The Philippine Independence Day celebration in Northeast USA includes not only New York but also the 12 states under the jurisdiction of the Philippine Consulate General in New York (Connecticut, Delaware, Louisiana, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island and Vermont).
