Marian, Coco team up in Regal movie

MANILA, Philippines - It’s all systems go for the first-ever Marian Rivera-Coco Martin movie which will be produced by Regal Entertainment, Inc.

Coco, one of ABS-CBN’s prized properties, recently inked a deal for the project at EDSA Shangri-La Hotel with Regal matriarch Lily Monteverde, daughter Roselle Monteverde-Teo and the actor’s manager, Biboy Arboleda in attendance.

Also on hand to welcome Coco was leading lady Marian, who came with manager Popoy Caritativo and director Maryo J. delos Reyes, whom Regal has tapped to handle the eventful project.

Both Marian and Coco expressed excitement and enthusiasm over their first big screen team-up, which can be considered a casting coup what with its lead stars coming from rival networks — Coco from ABS-CBN 2 and Marian from GMA 7.

 Regal, direk Maryo and everyone in the Marian-Coco movie team have buckled down to work at its concept and storyline, which shall toy and capitalize on the two stars’ proven acting mettle.

The film, which Regal promises to be a big one, will be shown in theaters within the year.
