MANILA, Philippines - Erik Santos, Posh, Bryan Termulo and the Go Girls will treat Manila Ocean Park habitués to a free concert on March 25 at 7 p.m., capping the awarding ceremonies of this year’s Manila Bay Summer Seasports Festival.
Presented by Manila Broadcasting Company and the City of Manila, in cooperation with the Philippine Coast Guard, the Seasports Festival has dragon boat racing as well as stock and formula races for motorized bancas.
Teams taking part in the Mixed-Open Dragon Boat Championships include members of the Philippine team that captured the world championships. Other clubs competing are the Philippine Army, De La Salle University, PDRT Fireblades, Blue Phoenix, Maharlika Drako, RCP Sea Dragons, Onslaught Racing Dragons, Oncer Piece DrakonSangress, Rogue Pilipinas, Triton Racing Team, EYP Cebu Dragons and MOP’s own home team.
Expected to see action in the motorized banca races are master bangkeros from Batangas, Cavite, Bulacan, Quezon, La Union, Ilocos Sur, Mindoro, and Iloilo competing against their counterparts from Navotas, Parañaque, Pasay and Manila in the stock and formula divisions.
