The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - ABS-CBN and DZMM were once again named as TV Station of the Year and Best AM Station, respectively in the recently-held 10th Gawad Tanglaw (Tagapuring mga Akademisyan ng Aninong Gumagalaw) at the University of Perpetual Help System-DALTA Auditorium in Las Piñas City with the Kapamilya network bagging a total of 23 awards for its TV, radio and cable TV channels.

ABS-CBN president Charo Santos-Concio was also given a special recognition of Gawad Tanglaw sa Sining ng Telebisyon for her contributions in the Philippine television industry.

Emilio Garcia, Coco Martin, Vilma Santos, Gina Pareño, Anita Linda and Cherrie Pie Picache, on the other hand, were among the artists recognized in the roster of Pinaka Kapuri-puring Artista ng Dekada.

In the film categories, Cinema One Original’s Six Degrees of Separation from Lilia Cuntapay won Best Story.

In summary, ABS-CBN bagged a total of 15 awards, including the special award for Charo, while its AM radio station DZMM Radyo Patrol 630 received four awards, ABS-CBN News Channel (ANC) got three and Cinema One bagged one.
